A BIG FAT HEAD... I hear stories about how caricatures go over as gifts at parties, when the recipients see themselves commemorated with a big fat head. I imagine I can hear their ooos and ahhhs as I work on the artwork, and hope everyone is saying "where'd you get that?!!". Apart from having no other employable skills, it's what keeps me going. I guess it's so ridiculous, why wouldn't they like a caricature? Like the leg lamp the kid's father got who wanted a Red Ryder BB Gun, in that Christmas story, you know, where the other kid got his tongue stuck on the pole at recess. Caricatures serve a similar profound purpose in the spectrum of society, I'm surprised more people haven't choosen it for their life's work. So thanks for the work, and letting me see a glimpse of the people you are or love, or need to smooze for a promotion or get to marry you. I've seen a lot more of humanity than I ever thought I would. I guess if there's a theme to caricatures, it's this is what we've got, might as well make the best of it.
